SMX Agency - Temporary Operators/Production Associates

SMX/Staff Management is an agency partner with Phillips-Medisize to provide temporary Operators for manufacturing facilities. Many operators will have the opportunity to convert to regular employment through Phillips-Medisize after a few months. Please apply directly with SMX/Staff Management in the location you wish to work in:

  • Positions will involve a variety of Production, Assembly, Machine Operations and Molding Operations duties
  • On-site Training to become knowledgeable about the injection molding presses, keeping pace/timing with the rate of hot stampers, paint machines, assembly machines or any other operation related machinery
  • Performing visual, in-process and final inspection of parts per quality criteria; check for contamination
  • Complete appropriate checklists
  • Navigate files and locate documents with computer
  • Read, comprehend, and follow operator’s guide and work instructions
  • Trim and package parts according to customer standards
  • Communicate status of jobs to previous and following shifts and share information with Mold Techs about problems and process variations
  • Keep and maintain accurate records
  • Some programs may have vision requirements
  • Comply with all Safety and Environmental Management System Programs
  • Understand and follow all reject rate and cycle time guidelines and know where to find them
  • Log scrap into IQMS/ERP system accurately
  • Ability to enter, print and scan labels accurately
  • Complete all documentation accurately using Good Documentation Practices
  • Pay and Benefits: Full-time schedules
  • Day, Afternoon and Night Shifts available with some weekend requirements
  • Earn $13.00/1st Shift, $13.52/2nd Shift, $13.78/3rd Shift

Qualifications - Education & Experience

  • Ability to read, write and comprehend all listed instructions and Operator’s guide in English
  • Must have knowledge of the impact of the work on the environment

Qualifications - Skills & Competencies

  • Good communication skills
  • Demonstrate basic computer skills
  • The ability to execute basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Must be team oriented and self-directing
  • Must have a strong commitment to Quality, Safety and Communication
  • Must have the ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug test
